2025 was a busy year for Vindral.
Not in the sense of “we did a bit of everything”, but in the sense that many of the things we’ve been working towards for years finally moved into real-world use.
Across products, partnerships, events and industry recognition, one thing became clear: real-time streaming without compromise is no longer theoretical. It’s happening.
What we shipped
A big part of 2025 was about turning core ideas into practical capabilities.
Media over QUIC (MoQ) moved from discussion to deployment. We didn’t just talk about standards or future roadmaps. We ran MoQ in real environments, talked about it on stage, contributed to industry conversations, and showed how it fits into real production workflows. Over the year, MoQ became a recurring topic across launches, conferences and partner demos.
We also introduced full DRM support in Vindral Live. Widevine, PlayReady and FairPlay, delivered without breaking latency, sync or quality. For sports and premium content, this was a long-standing challenge, and one that came up again and again in conversations at NAB, IBC and beyond.
On the production side, Vindral Composer continued to evolve rapidly through R1, R2 and R3 releases. Crystal Speech became a standout feature, bringing AI-powered voice enhancement into live production in a way that’s actually usable day to day. Alongside that came workflow improvements, performance gains, AV1 support and smarter multi-branding setups. Composer increasingly proved itself as a tool built for continuous, high-density studio operations.
In live casino, V-Track Roulette and V-Track Money Wheel were launched and quickly became central to how we talk about next-generation game shows. Real-time overlays, brand-specific visuals and scalable setups came up repeatedly in demos, articles and event discussions throughout the year.

Recognition from the industry
2025 also brought strong external validation.
We were proud to win Silver at the SportsPro Media Awards for Best in Broadcast Distribution, and to be shortlisted and nominated across several Streaming Media and European Innovation Awards categories. Beyond awards, we were featured in publications like Streaming Media, SportsPro, SVG Europe, TM Broadcast and SiGMA World.

What stood out in that coverage was consistency. Low latency, synchronization, scalability and production efficiency kept coming up, regardless of vertical.
A year on the road
If it felt like we were everywhere in 2025, that’s because we almost were.
From IBC in Amsterdam and NAB in both Las Vegas and New York, to Streaming Media conferences, Demuxed in London, SBC in Lisbon, SiGMA events in Malta and Rome, SportsPro New York, NEXT.io in Malta and Streaming Tech Sweden, we spent a lot of time meeting people face to face.
Across these events, the same topics kept resurfacing. MoQ. AI in production. DRM without trade-offs. Real-time workflows that actually scale. Often, Vindral was part of those conversations as a concrete example, not just a concept.
Partnerships that mattered
Collaboration played a big role throughout the year.
Our ongoing work with SVT around remote and software-based production continued to grow and gain visibility. We combined forces with Akamai to pair global scale with real-time delivery. Together with EZDRM, we enabled secure ultra-low latency streaming. Tata Communications showcased Vindral Live and Multiviewer. Cloudflare highlighted our MoQ work, and partners like SailGP were recognised with Vindral-powered solutions.
During the year, we also joined the OpenMoQ software consortium, reinforcing our long-term commitment to Media over QUIC as an open, interoperable foundation for real-time media deliver.

Strengthening leadership
2025 was also important internally.
Henrik Fagerlund joined as Chairman of the Board, bringing deep experience from iGaming and technology companies operating at scale. It marked a clear step forward in how we think about the next phase of Vindral’s growth.

Momentum going into 2026
Engagement around Vindral increased steadily over the year. More conversations, more interest, more people following what we’re building. That momentum didn’t come from a single launch or event, but from many consistent signals pointing in the same direction.
If 2025 proved anything, it’s that ultra-low latency, synchronized streaming has moved from “what’s next” to “what’s working”.
We’re grateful to everyone who was part of the journey this year and excited to keep building in 2026. With that, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,
Team Vindral
