AV1 delivers 4K UHD, HDR, and WCG to real-time video. Our AV1 demo features 4K 10-bit HDR at 12mbit/s, retained at 500ms of latency.

Current challenges

Up until recently, encoder throughput has been inadequate for live content, and the number of devices supporting AV1 playback has been limited. However, the number is rapidly rising, pointing to a future of broad-scale adoption of AV1.

Low footprint

NETINT Technologie's Quadra (ASICS) encoder provides the hardware accelerated transcoding of the demo. The ASICS used in encoding reduces TCO to a factor of 1/40 and slashes CO2 emission to 1/80th of CPU-based encoding.
