Vindral at IBC

Software is becoming a real option in broadcast production workflows that have historically run on dedicated hardware. We will be at IBC to discuss what that looks like in practice.

We do not have a stand of our own this year. Everything runs on partner floor space, in three places:

  • Vindral on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure: Vindral Composer with Media over QUIC (MoQ) ingest running in OCI, output through Vindral Live. Stop by their booth to check it out 5, Booth 5.A21.
  • Vindral in the Akamai cloud: the production and delivery chain deployed on Akamai infrastructure, with MoQ from Vindral Composer through to delivery. Book a meeting with Akamai to see the demo. Hall 1 – Balcony Suite 11
  • SVT NEO at the EBU booth: NEO is SVT’s programme for moving live sports production to software on commodity hardware. Vindral is deployed as part of that platform, with SVT’s own orchestration managing Vindral Composer instances through our APIs. MoQ carries the finished programme feeds to the production gallery. See it at the EBU stand, 10.D21.

Vindral Composer handles vision mixing, audio, graphics, and encoding in one application on a GPU server. Vindral Live handles contribution transport and program feed delivery via MoQ.

Book a meeting or drop us a message if you want to hear more about how we are helping broadcasters get the flexibility and cost efficiency that software-defined production enables.
