Vindral Live now has a built-in browser overlay. It burns a web page into a live stream as a graphics layer in real time: a lower third with a name, a news ticker, the score or the starting list.
Graphics as part of the stream
The browser overlay moves the graphics into the platform that already ingests, transcodes and delivers your stream. You point the overlay at a web page, and Vindral Live renders the page into the video in real time.
- The overlay runs inside Vindral Live, so there is no third-party graphics service to buy or connect.
- Smaller streams can have graphics too. There is no extra service to set up for each production.
- The graphic updates with your data. The page fetches its own data, so when the score or the headline changes, the graphic in the stream changes with it.
- The graphic is part of the video frame, so it shows in any player that plays the stream. Nothing has to be built into your player or your app.
- The page is standard HTML, CSS and JavaScript, so your own developers can build it. Graphics you already have as web pages can often be reused, as long as they run on their own without a separate controller.
