The next generation of Composer is here. With the launch of Composer R3 “Autodrome”, real-time video production takes another leap forward — bringing new creative possibilities, faster performance, and smarter workflows for broadcasters and creators alike.
Smarter Audio, Stronger Video
Composer R3 introduces a redesigned audio workflow with an integrated audio mixer, enabling seamless mixing, processing, and monitoring across all inputs. An EBU R128 loudness meter ensures professional audio standards are met every time.
On the video side, an updated video switcher now supports up to 13 sources, includes a built-in multiviewer with tally and VU meters, and allows up to 4 overlays.
Efficiency Meets Quality
R3 brings support for the AV1 codec, offering up to 50% better compression efficiency compared to H.264, reducing bandwidth without compromising quality. New support for formats such as lossless HEVC, DNxHD, .MXF, and QuickTime Animation RGB 4:4:4 further expands creative flexibility.
NDI workflows also take a step forward with alpha channel support, and rendering is now up to 400% faster, ensuring smooth operation even under demanding conditions.
Designed for Modern Workflows
With an updated GUI and streamlined workflow, R3 makes it easier to work efficiently and creatively. Features like the RTMP Target component (with built-in scaler and OnFI messaging support) underline Composer’s adaptability to diverse live production setups.
Beyond the Studio: V-Track Add-ons
R3 also introduces V-Track, Composer’s new real-time tracking suite. The first two products — V-Track Roulette and V-Track Money Wheel — expand what’s possible in interactive and dynamic live productions.
