RealSprint AB, the Umeå company that develops Vindral, is one of three finalists for Export Company of the Year at Umeågalan 2026. The winner will be announced at the gala in Umeå on 19 November.
Umeågalan is Umeå’s annual business gala, organised since 2004 by Umeå Municipality and Umeå University. The export award is presented together with the Chamber of Commerce of Västerbotten. It recognises companies that grow by succeeding on international markets. To qualify, a company must export at least half of its revenue, sell to several markets and have made a breakthrough with a new product or market during the past year.
Most of the business is international
Close to 90 percent of our recurring revenue comes from customers outside Sweden. Broadcasters, live casino studios, racing and wagering operators and auction houses in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia use our two products. Vindral Live delivers live video at sub-second latency. Vindral Composer replaces the vision mixer, audio console, graphics engine and encoder with one application on standard GPU servers.
A year of breakthroughs
In December 2025 Vindral became an Akamai ISV Partner. In February 2026 Vindral supported SVT’s remote production workflow for the Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina. In September the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences named Vindral a recipient of a 2026 Technology & Engineering Emmy® Award for web-based, frame-accurate remote monitoring systems for distributed broadcast production.

RealSprint was named Innovative Company of the Year at Umeågalan 2022. The other finalists for Export Company of the Year 2026 are Algoryx Simulation and VIMEK.
